About Critical Conversations™

More so than ever, Federal agencies must create and leverage diversity and inclusive environments in order to value and encourage each individual to provide ideas critical to innovation, optimization and organizational success in its mission.

Through the art of conversation, the overarching direction of Critical Conversations™ is guided by three goals:

  • Engage in dialogue
  • Self-reflection
  • Deepen mutual understanding

In order to support these goals, Critical Conversations™ utilizes an evidence-based, structured curriculum in a deliberate order to ensure employees engage in a process that can transform workplace culture.

Critical Conversations™  provides individuals directing executive departments and offices with a deepened understanding of leadership actions and offers support to develop and manage diversity as a strategic imperative through rich and fresh conversation.

To support these goals and their relevance to diversity and inclusion efforts, Critical Conversations™ utilizes leadership competencies in a deliberate order to ensure broad strategic thinking.

Program

Target Audience: Supervisory employees across the organization

Limited Seats: 25 individuals

Special Guest Facilitators: Represent nationally-renown experts and thought-leaders in the field relevant to diversity and inclusion and have extraordinary professional experience in this area.

Presentation Format: Akin to “Ted Talks” after which a favorable amount of time is  allowed for deep discussion for participants to grapple with real-life diversity and inclusion workplace challenges.

Outcomes

Outcomes of Critical Conversations™ are strategic actions presented as opportunities and challenges associated with:

  • Sustained diversity and inclusion agenda
  • Application of lessons from emerging and best practices
  • Articulation of differences between traditional and new strategies and its consequences
